Songbird Music Works’ founder, Lisa DuFort, launched the company in 2020, as an answer to the multi-faceted needs of the rising artist. Previous to the company’s launch, Lisa fostered a multi-dimensional foundation of knowledge working as the Events Manager for Essential Broadcast Media (www.ebmediapr.com) in Nashville, TN. Lisa's skill-set lies in the areas of A&R, live event production, and artist/talent branding and management, and PR. Lisa holds a degree in Music from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, with a minor in Music Business from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Upon graduation, she relocated to Los Angeles to begin her career in the Music/Entertainment industries. In LA she fostered a foundation of expertise that was built working directly with talent on shows such as The X Factor and Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK). Lisa immersed herself in the artist’s sonic and branding experience managing contestant song selection on The X Factor (USA). Further, Lisa brings her experience in song selection from her work creating exclusive playlists for Carnival Cruise Line's fleet, as well as working alongside Paula Abdul managing contestant song selection for The X Factor.
